General Fitness
The heart, like any other tissue requires a constant supply of oxygen and nutrients to stay fit and healthy. During aerobic or cardiovascular (cv) exercise, the body uses oxygen from the blood as its primary fuel. With structured progressive aerobic exercise, the heart like any other muscle in the body will become stronger and more efficient. Below are some of the benefits that can be gained by conducting aerobic activity:
Dieting alone will never develop your fitness level. Your diet helps to increase your calorie burning function by boosting your metabolism (chemical activity), a process further enhanced as you gain more lean muscle. In addition I will structure an aerobic exercise programme to burn fat and increase your metabolic rate. The aim is to sustain the aerobic activity for between 20-40 minutes each session, this is dependant on you current physical ability. Your aerobic programme and diet will be the core of your general fitness plan.
